This Very Ground - Victory or Death Wargaming Rules 2nd Edition (PDF - Digital Version)

It has been a real pleasure to revisit This Very Ground. It had been a long time coming since the original was published in
2005. I hope you enjoy the new edition of the rules and I hope they are a true improvement over the last edition. I made a
lot of changes to the system, but my goal was to maintain the playability of the original while adding tactical nuance and
flexibility that brings out more of the flavor of skirmish warfare in North America from the early 1600s through the early
1800s, with a focus on King Philip’s War through the War of 1812.
I wanted to capture as much of the tactical feel of the period as I could, while allowing players to field forces from each of
these periods. I also wanted the lists to reflect the differences in weapons, unit types, and unit qualities across these wars
as well. With that said, they will have some similarities. Militia from the French & Indian War are still going to generally
be poorer troops than their regular counterparts, and these lists are scaled to each other as well. With that said, I wanted the
lists to also act as a basic guide for creating your own forces for these wars. It is truly impossible to present all of the unit
types and variations for each of these forces across four wars. There will always be something missing in even the most
exhaustive list. Players are urged to see these lists more as unit archetypes than lists for specific units. It is suggested that
players tinker with these lists to put together the types of units and forces they want to see on the tabletop. These lists are a
way to do that and allow both sides in a game to be on the same page as far as unit stats and weapons.
This Very Ground: Victory or Death certainly has come a long way from the original French & Indian War focus of the first
edition. It is my hope that this has not diluted the rules but strengthened them and broadened them to allow you to play
a variety of wars and field a variety of units and still maintain the tactical feel for these periods. And these four wars are
not the only conflict you can use these rules for! This system will work for nearly any small-scale skirmish in the musket
era. You could use this system to game the wars in the Caribbean and in Spanish America or on the battlefields of Europe.
Of course, it is still meant as a small-scale skirmish game. With the basic tactical unit being a platoon, the focus is still on
1:1 scale infantry combat. But this shouldn’t stop players from zooming into a small area of a bigger battle. The scenarios
presented here of Parker’s Revenge and the Battle of Lundy Lane are exactly that. I felt it was important to showcase how
easily the system will handle skirmishes up to bigger battles yet keeping a skirmish level of playability. It is suggested to
play most games using single-based 15-28mm miniatures on a 4'x6' table. Players may wish to field much larger forces on
up to whole companies per side, or to use unit-based miniatures but record casualties on unit rosters.

Price of Glory (WW1 / RCW / Interwar Skirmish) Wargaming Rules (PDF - Digital Version)

Price of Glory is a wargame system intended to recreate small unit skirmishes during World War I. The models in Price of Glory each represent one man or vehicle (1:1 scale). The smallest unit in most World War I armies was a platoon of 30 or more men. This system generally breaks units down into groups of 5-10 men for ease of play and to represent slices of time. While these subunits below the platoon level are not necessarily historically accurate on a structural basis, the system uses them to break the game into the actions of small groups of men (units) over time (game turns).
We developed this system to fill a demand for a set of World War I rules designed to fit in between the available rules that focus on individual combat or large battles of company size or larger. The typical game of Price of Glory will contain around 30-50 models a side, plus the occasional vehicle rather than the 100 or more needed for many other systems. We intend this system to be used to fight battles between almost every conceivable type of World War I combatant and on every type of battlefield. From the tenacious defenders of France facing German Stormtroopers in the battle of Verdun, to the grinding slog of the British and their tank attacks during Cambrai, to the various colonial troops fighting in the harsh terrain of the African wilds, all the way to the White and Red armies slugging it out during the Russian Civil War. This is not just a system for trench warfare. Virtually any conflict and setting during the early 19th century up until World War II can be gamed using these rules. We hope you find the system easily adaptable to your needs.

No More Room In Hell: Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse is a stand alone miniatures game system usable with 15mm-28mm figures that allows you to create a group of characters amidst the end of the living world and the start of the living-dead world. Who will survive? Who will feed the zeds? It's up to you to select the skills.
Zombies. Be it slow moving re-animated dead (what us diehards refer to as Romero Zombies, the one true Zombie if you ask me), or the running Zombie that may just be an “infected person” we see so often these days there’s no question that Zombies captivate us, at least I assume they do if you’re holding this book. A great Zombie movie reveals to its audience that the facade of safe and cozy “civilization” we’ve wrapped ourselves in is a sham. A cold and terrifying lie whose truth is rarely revealed until it’s too late. We perpetuate this lie by telling ourselves that people are generally good and that our government has the resources and preparation needed to take real good care of us. That’s not a bad thing. I do it too, we all do it. Why wouldn’t we tell ourselves that? You need to be able to sleep at night right? But what happens when the delicate veil of order gets pulled back or just torn to shreds and we learn quickly that we really aren’t protected, and that other people’s motivations aren’t always as noble as we had thought? What happens when the chips are really down? And what if those chips are corpses?...And they get back up again? What happens is that you get one fiction’s most game-able genres and that’s where No More Room In Hell comes in. No More Room In Hell will lay out every detail you need to play out nearly any Zombie scenario you’ve seen in a movie, read in a book, or played in a video game, and then some. Strangers stuck in a farmhouse becoming surrounded by the undead during the first night of a mysterious outbreak. Survivors trying to fortify a warehouse store or take over an abandoned prison with the intent of riding out the apocalypse in safety and maybe even comfort. Bandits that attempt to raid a camp of Survivors to steal as many precious supplies as they can grab. These rules will give you the ability to play out all of these scenarios. There are also rules for campaign play that will show the wear and tear that your Survivors succumb to as they take their journey through a world being overrun. So grab that shotgun, sharpen that machete and hope to God you can find enough canned food to stay alive for another day because…There’s No More Room In Hell!!!

Psycho-Slasher: The Game

By Chalfant Conley
$15.00

Psycho-Slasher: The Game is a table top miniatures game designed as an homage to the low budget horror films of the late 1970’s through the late 1980’s. This was a decade filled with slasher films and slasher film sequels. Notable movie inspirations for Psycho-Slasher are the
Robert Hiltzik’s Sleepaway Camp (1983), Wes Craven’s A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), and of course, Friday the 13th (1980), Friday the 13th Part II (1981), Part III (1982), and onwards… a slasher film franchise that continued (for better or worse) for two more decades… so far! I certainly don’t want to forget my personal favorite set, John’ Carpenter’s Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981).... another franchise that continued (for good or bad, I am looking at you Halloween III) for two more decades.
The game mechanics of Psycho-Slasher are meant to help recreate the feel and plot of those movies. The players (shortly to be known as the “Writers”) will enact the parts of the Slashers, with limited control of the “Pawns”, who are the targets of the “Slashers”. The Slashers are not allowed to interact directly with each other. They are too busy vying for top billing! What they can do in the game, is use the Pawns against each other. Through the course of the game, some of those Pawns will develop into Heroes or Heroines… becoming formidable foes by the end of the game to all of the Slashers. If your Slasher happens to fall to a Hero that you helped create, don’t feel too bad about it. You helped move the movie story line along to its natural conclusion.

A short history and timeline of the U.S. involvement in WWII and some ends notes on how to use the book gives players the complete Disposable Heroes II supplement they need to play the U.S. Army in WWII.
Why Disposable Heroes II?
This is an updated version of the original Blood and Guts U.S. Army Book for Disposable Heroes II WW2 Wargaming Rules.
A little about the Disposable Heroes II WW2 Wargaming Rules:
Disposable Heroes II plays fast. Disposable Heroes II is intuitive. Disposable Heroes II emphasizes fire and maneuver and those tactics work. Disposable Heroes II actually creates tension between advancing attackers and hidden defenders without the need for maps or hidden unit movement record keeping. The hidden rules are simple and elegant. Disposable Heroes II actually captures the tension and shock of initial contact in a platoon level WWII battle in a way that no other system does. The friction the scenario design and First Fire rules creates is refreshingly realistic and yet very simple to use. Disposable Heroes II is a full color illustrated rule book. Disposable Heroes II is fully supported. All of the original army books are usable and will be redesigned as the originals sell out. There is no “codex creep” other rules experience.

This product keeps with Iron Ivan Games philosophy of flash free products. We stripped down the fluff to provide players with the maximum amount of wargaming information we could cram in. There may be some brief introductions and a few pictures, but otherwise, this book is packed full from cover to cover of what you need for your games.

A scenario book for the Spanish Civil War. Primera Batalla is our SCW Army Book and is available separately. Disposable Heroes is needed for referenced information in this Scenario Book.
¡Atacar es Vencer!, To Attack is to Win! This battle cry reflects the strategy of the Nationalist's March on Madrid, or La Marcha. Franco flew to Seville on August 6th to organize the 8,000 troops ferried from the Spanish Protectorate of Morocco by mostly German planes. This Army of Africa was led by General Yagüe and under him Colonels Asensio, Delgado Serrano, Barrón, and Tella with Major Castejón, all seasoned veterans of Moroccan warfare. Each of these officers commanded a bandera of Spanish Foreign Legionaires and a tabor of Regulares with one or two batteries of artillery and a few pieces of domestic armor. It was their plan to attack all the way from their launching points in Seville to the capital to seize power and victory. The loyalist forces of the Republican government were in many cases slow to react and made up of many independent elements, such as the militias that lacked the direction to counter attack and even defend effectively. As the Nationalist Columns formed and shot toward Madrid in motorized convoys supported with combined arms of aircraft and mobile artillery, the Republican defenders in route quickly found themselves out flanked and out maneuvered by the professional Nationalist Army of Africa. Even in superior numbers Republican counter attacks faltered into retreats that led back to the capital. A Nationalist victory looked inevitable, but this changed when Franco made the political choice to relieve the besieged at Alcázar and consolidate his position of Caudillo, leader, rather than push on to Madrid. This proved to be a choice that would lengthen the war by years. The Russian aid filtered into Madrid along with Milicianos bolstering the city's defenses with the time Franco spent on political gains. The Nationalists lost momentum as they found Madrid a now cornered beast ready to devour what forces they had left to attack. Madrid had held, ¡No Pasarán!, but now they knew that to win the war they must also be able to mount successful attacks. In the end, the Republic fell because unlike the Nationalists, they did not possess the logistics to mount a successful offensive.

This is the 2nd installment in our scenario campaign series Fields of Battle. Without Fortune is 54 pages long and includes 20 platoon level/small unit skirmish scenarios, all centered in 1944 Arnhem and the British Paras. Disposable Heroes is needed for referenced information in this Scenario Book.
Operation Market Garden devised by British Field Marshal Montgomery has been labeled as one of the most daring plans in the entirety of the Second World War. The plan called for use of some 34,600 Allied airborne infantry, the Market, to provide the blanket for armored forces, the Garden, to roll forward on as they advanced into Germany in what is known as the largest airborne battle in history. The First Allied Airborne Army under tactical command by General Browning was composed of British, American, and Polish troops who would be dropped ahead of the land based armored advance of British XXX Corps to secure key bridges along a route known as the Corridor through the Netherlands to the Rhine. General Brian Horrocks, the commander of XXX Corps likened the operation to threading a series of needles as each bridge is secured and passed with the last bridge being the most essential to it’s success. This last bridge was Arnhem and was tasked to the British 1st Airborne Division to hold for an estimated 48 hours till XXX Corps could link up with them. This was an operation that was more dependent on fortune than the men partaking it could imagine.

This is the 3rd installment in our scenario campaign series Fields of Battle. Berlin Race to the Reichstag is 53 pages long and includes 16 platoon level/small unit skirmish scenarios, campaign decisions, a bonus multi-player "big battle" scenario, and a short tutorial on terrain, all centered in 1945 and the defense of Berlin. Disposable Heroes is needed for referenced information in this Scenario Book.
On April 22, 1945 General Helmuth Weidling received a direct telephone call from the Führerbunker in Berlin. For disobeying Hitler’s express order not to withdraw the LVI Panzer Corps in the face of certain annihilation, Weidling was told over the telephone that he had been condemned to death by firing squad. Instead of attempting to avoid his execution by escape or suicide, Weidling drove to Berlin and walked into the Führerbunker. Adolf Hitler, so impressed by his general’s courage, not only canceled the firing squad—he ordered 53-year old Helmuth Weidling to take command of Berlin’s defenses.2 “You might just as well have me shot,” Weidling remarked dryly to a staff orderly. As Berlin’s newest commandant—the previous three had each been sacked by Hitler—Weidling faced insurmountable challenges. He lacked manpower and even the most basic supplies, such as food and small arms ammunition. Berlin also lacked proper defensive fortifications and to complicate the situation further, Hitler’s adamant refusal to evacuate non-combatants meant that key military bastions—like the impregnable Zoo flak tower—were clogged with thousands of panicked civilians. But Weidling’s greatest challenge loomed farther east. The Red Army.
